Are you sick of the same overused holiday decorations? It’s never too late to stray from tradition and find ways to make your home stand out. Here are a couple ways to brighten your curb appeal and make your home stand out from the rest of your neighborhood.

Props

Placing a prop in your yard or on your front porch will grab attention of those passing by.  Head over to the local flea market or thrift store to find an awesome antique wooden sled or vintage Santa Claus statue.  Wrap garland around columns or your door frame to welcome guests.

Wreath

A simple way to get your home ready for the holiday is with a wreath.  There is no better place to hang the beautiful greenery than right on your front door.  If you’ve been wanting one, your local craft or garden stores may have a variety of options for you. Or if you are feeling crafty, get creative and make one yourself!

Lights

The best wat to brighten up your home is with the warm glow of lights.  The idea of hanging up string lights around the exterior of your home is nothing new.  Use a single strand of white lights along the borders to make a minimalist yet bold statement.

Christmas tree

A nice window in the front of your home is the perfect place for a Christmas tree so those outside have a nice view.  If you have an extra smaller tree, place it on your front porch.  You can use decorations that will match with the outside of your house or use crazy decorations that will make it stand out.  Either way, a view of a Christmas tree is a sure way to improve your curb appeal.
